He was married 54 years ago to Mary Schmidt of Elmira. Mr. and Mrs. Gleiser celebrated their golden wedding four years ago at which the members of the family were present. The union was blessed with twelve children, seven of whom survive, namely: George, Tena (Mrs. Hy. R. Miller) of Waterloo, Alonzo, Buffalo; Annie (Mrs. James Nichol), Chas.. Nelda (Mrs. Jos. Granger) of Toronto; Elizabeth (Mrs. David Lippert) Waterloo: also his beloved wife, three sisters, Mrs. Julius Germann and Miss Catharine Gleiser, Waterloo. and Mrs. John Seyler of Palmerston; one brother, Henry Gleiser, of Edmonton, Alta.; and 23 grandchildren, one of whom is married, Mrs. Walter Witthuhn of Galt.
