  60th Wedding Day Is Marked Mr. And Mrs. Frank Pernfuss, Bridgeport, Honored On Anniversary by, Record Correspondent BRIDGEPORT. April 26. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pernfuss will be the guests of honor at a family dinner party at their home here tonight when their children and grandchildren will assemble to congratulate them on having reached their 60th wedding anniversary. Both Mr. and Mrs. Pernfuss were born overseas. Mrs. Pernfuss, before her marriage. Miss Elizabeth Dodt was born in Germany and at the age of 17 years came from that land to Canada to join her father, Mr. Conrad Dodt here. The voyage from Germany was made in a sáiling vessel and seven weeks were required to make the crossing. Mrs. Pernfuss land in New York, N. Y. and from there travelled to Bridgeport where she has resided continuously since that time. Mr. Pernfuss, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pernfuss, was born in. Austria and came with his parents from that land at the age of two years. The family settled in Berlin, now Kitchener, and Mr. Pernfuss resided in this city until young man he was employed at the Sherk and Snider Grist Mill in Bridgeport, with which company he had the distinction of remaining for 57 years. Both Mr. and Mrs. Pernfuss are In their 82nd year and although the latter in poor health the former is enjoying good health and the use of all his faculties: Mr. and Mrs. Pernfuss were married at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Noah Zeller in Preston on April 26. 60 years ago. Rev. Mr. Wuester, pastor of the Preston Lutheran church of that day, performed the ceremony. After their marriage they returned to reside in Bridgeport where they have remained throughout the years. Their family includes five children Miss Almina at home, Mrs. Frank Reichert, Bridgeport, and Norman and Diebert of Kitchener and Alvin at home. They have seven grand children. Mr. and Mrs. Pernfuss are members of the Evangelical church. Bridgeport, and today their church and wide circle of friends the community and district showered them with anniversary wishes.
