    • Adam Kress

      One of the best known figures in Waterloo, Adam Kress, foreman of the Waterloo board of works for 30 years, aged 80, died suddenly on Saturday at his home, 144 Albert street, Waterloo. Mrs. Kress was a member of St. John's Lutheran church and the Canadian Order of Foresters. His wife predeceased him four years ago. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Sophia Thomas, Kitchener and two brothers, Jacob and Andrew, both of Waterloo. Funeral services were held at the Letter-Dreisinger Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon with interment in Mount Hope Cemetery. Rev. C. S. Roberts officiated.
