- Mrs. Augusta Wendell, 85, of 59 Euclid Ave. Waterloo, died Thursday at the Paradise Rest Home, 237 Mary St., Waterloo, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Feb. 12, 1874, in Germany but had lived in Waterloo most of her life. Her parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Haack. Mrs. Wendell was a member. of St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo.
Her. husband, John L. Wendell, died in 1952.
Surviving are a son, Oscar of Kitchener; two daughters, Mrs. Nelson (Olive) Heimpel of Kitchener and Miss Mabel Wendell. at home; and one grandchild. Mrs. Wendell was the last surviving member of her family.
The body is at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, Waterloo, where the funeral will be conducted Saturday at 3:30 p.m. by Rev. A. L. Conrad of St. John's Church. Burial will follow in Waterloo Mount Hope Cemetery.
