  DEATH OF MRS HAGEN Mrs Hagen, relict of John Hagen, who has been ill with bronchitis for some weeks, passed to her eternal rest on Sunday, Oct. 2nd, mourned by her family by whom she was beloved, and by her neighbors and friends by whom she was generally esteemed. Knowing that her end was approaching,she had her family summoned to her bedside, one of them, William coming, from British Columbia, in order to see her for the last time on earth. Mrs Hagen bore her affliction with Christian patience and fell asleep in the Lord. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday afternoon, leaving her late residence, corner Chapel and Lancaster streets at 2 o'clock; to St Peter's church for service and from thence to Mt. Hope cemetery for interment. Friends and acquaintances will please accept this intimation. The Berlin News Record, Monday October 2, 1898, page 1
