  JOSEPH KOHL SUICIDES AT HIS HOME Found Dead in Kitchen Which Was Filled With Gas From Stove\emdash Failed to Agree With Wife Who Had Laid Charge Against Him. Shortly before 7 o'clock Thursday morning. Joseph Kohl, aged 68 years. was found dead in the house at 93 West Lancaster St. by his brother-in-law. George B. Schell. Deceased was despondent for some time over family quarrels. When discovered he was seated in a chair in the kitchen with the gas burners in the stove wide open. Coroner Dr. Honsberger stated that it was a clear case of suicide and no inquest will be held. The morning before his death Kohl and his wife appeared before Magistrate Weir, the former an answer a charge of non-support laid by his wife. Wednesday night Mrs. Kohl stayed at the home of her brother and when she arrived at her own home the next morning she detected the odor of gas and with her brother entered the house to find her husband dead and the body still warm. The unfortunate man conducted a grocery store at the corner of Lancaster and Louisa Sts. A widow, two sons, Herbert. of Guelph. and Joseph, and one daughter. Mrs. J.
