- Another of the pioneers of the district has passed away in the person of Mrs. Wilhelmina Liesemer, nee Eggert. After an illness of about four weeks during which time she manifested Christian fortitude, she died Thursday morning, April 13th, aged 81 years, 6 months and 8 days. She was well and favorably known by a large circle of relatives and friends.
After coming to Canada and spending fifty years in Ontario she, with her family, moved West, locating east of Didsbury in 1905. Her husband, Peter Liesemer, preceeded her in death July 1st, 1918.
Ten of the thirteen children live to mourn the loss of a true Christian mother; Henry, of Carstairs; George, Galt?; William, Waterton; John, Peter, Edward and Conrad of Didsbury; Mrs. J.H. Miller, Mt?; Mrs. H. Reiber, Didsbury; Mrs. Diebel, Calgary. Besides these there are thirty two grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
