  JOHN K. HOFFMAN By Record Correspondent. PHILLIPSBURG, June 8. - John K. Hoffman passed away this morning at the home of Elmer Heldman with whom he had lived in recent years. The deceased was 74 years old. His death was due to rheumatism. The late Mr. Hoffman was predeceased by his wife and was the last member of his family. The funeral will take place on Monday afternoon with a service at the home of Mr. Heldman at two o'clock. Interment will be made in the Lutheran cemetery at Phillipsburg. Hoffman took place at the home of Mr. Elmer Heldman in Philipsburg .last Saturday, June 8th, at the age of 74 years. He had been ill for some time suffering with rheumatism. The deceased was a son of the late Engelhardt Hoffman and was born near Wilmot Centre. He sipent the greater part of his life on a farm in 'North Easthope and later lived at Lisbon. His wife predeceased him some years ago and in recent years he made his home with Mr. Heldman. The deceased was an adherent of the Lutheran faith. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon with service at the home of Mr. Heldman followed by interment in the Philipsburg Lutheran Cemetery. New Hamburg Independent 14 Jun 1935
