    • HOFSTETTER, Douglas - At his residence, on Wednesday, May 5, 1999, suddenly, as a result of a heart attack, Douglas Hofstetter, aged 77 years. Douglas was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. He had been employed for Uniroyal Ltd. For 33 years, until his retirement. He has served during the Second World War with the Canadian Army. Father to Ross and his wife Judy of London, Kathryn and her husband Louis Nagy of Kitchener, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a step-mother, Virginia Hofstetter, brother to Dave, Bill, Roger, Kenneth, Carol and Virginia and Dorothy Louise; brother-in-law to Dorothy Hofstetter. Predeceased by his parents, Orphin Hofstetter and Myrtle Otto, his wife Meta in 1988, one brother, Robert and a brother and sister in infancy and one grandson, Todd in 1996. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2: 30 p.m. with Pastor Fred Ludolph officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario may be made as expressions of sympathy.
