      Passed away at Kitchener, Ont., on Wednesday, December, 4th, 1940 Jacob Kaufman aged 91 years 6 months and 4 days The funeral will be held from the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home 178 Queen St. South, Kitchener, Ontario Friday, December 6th, 1940 at 2 o`clock p.m To Calvary Evangelical Church St. Jacobs, for service Interment will be made in St. Jacobs Evangelical Cemetery. Friends and acquaintances please accept this intimation.

      Jacob Kaufman

      Jacob Kaufman, 91, died early Wednesday at the home of his son Franklin, King street east. Born near Hawkesville, he qualified as a public school teacher at the age of 19, beginning his career at S.S. No. 1, Wellesley. Subsequently he taught at Preston, Martin's, St. Jacobs, Heidelberg and S.S. 10, Wellesley. Mr. Kaufman was engaged in farming for ten years but resumed his career until he was superannuated in 1917. Deceased resided in St. Jacobs until 1928 when he came to Kitchener to live with his son. He attended Olivet Evangelical church.

      Surviving are two sons, Edward of Bamberg and Franklin of Kitchener, a daughter, Mrs. Anna Grieve of Kitchener, a brother, Menno Kaufman of Forest, six grandchil- dren and two great grandchildren.
