  Charles Gowing By Record Correspondent ELMIRA - Charles H. Gowing, 79, of 45 Centre St., Elmira, died today at his residence. Born in Maryborough township, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Gowing. He retired from farming in 1947 and had been a resident of Elmira since 1949. Surviving are his wife, the former Isabelle Gabel, three daughters, Mrs. Lorne (Laura) Stahlbaum and Mrs. Clayton (Florence) Miller, both of RR 1, Elmira; and Mrs. Albert (Ruby) Israel, Kitchener; two sons, Morley of Glen Allen and Ivan, RR 3, Listowel; 24 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Calvin, Glen Allan, Edgar, Drayton and Wellington, Stratford. The body is at the Dreisinger funeral parlor, Elmira. Service will be conducted in the Dreisinger funeral chapel Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. H. L. Simpson officiating. Burial will be in the Elmira Cemetery.
