  HEIDELBERG - Henry Kappes, 81, Heidelberg, died today at the K-W Hospital, Kitchener, after a brief illness. Mr. Kappes was born in St. Clements, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Kappes. A member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Heidelberg, he was an employee of Burns and Co. Ltd. until his retirement in 1951. He is survived by his wife the former Clara Lindner; two sons, Herman and Howard, both of Heidelberg, three daughters, Mrs. Helen Heimpel and Mrs. Andrew (Violet) Moore, both of Heidelberg and Mrs. Wellington (Ruth) Heimpel of Kitchener; two brothers William of Heidelberg and Rev. Adolph Kappes of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 19 grand-children and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother and one sister. The body will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, Kitchener, until 10 a.m. Wednesday when removal will be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Heidelberg for service at 3 p.m. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran cemetery. Rev. Arthur Horst will officiate. Donations to the building fund of St. Peter's Lutheran Church will be accepted as expressions of sympathy. Kitchener-Waterloo Record 21 Jun 1955
