    • Burton (Bert) Hofstetter, 73, of 237 Lancaster St. East, died Sunday, at his home. Born in Petersburg Nov. 27, 1886, he came to Kitchener 60 years ago and was a retired employee of J. M. Schneider Ltd. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. His wife, the former Minnie Bierwagen, survives. Also surviving are two sons, Elroy of Kingston and Bertram of Kitchener; two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Elvera) Johnston of Elmira and Mrs. Harvey (Margaret) Turnbull of Toronto; five brothers, Wilfred, Sylvester, Hilbert and Louis of Kitchener and Adam of London, Ont., and one sister, Dorothy Hofstetter of Buffalo. There are 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The body is at the Keffer Funeral Home where the funeral will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. Rev. Arthur Eissfeldt will officiate and burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects after 7 o'clock tonight.
