  BRUBACHER, Elam B. - Peacefully, went home to be with the Lord, on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002, at Heritage House, St. Jacobs, surrounded by his loving family, Elam B. Brubacher, in his 83rd year, of West Montrose. Beloved husband of the late Minerva (Bowman) Brubacher (2001). Loving father of Miriam and Clare Gingrich of West Montrose; dear grandfather of Sheri (David) Bowman of Drayton and Jonathan Gingrich of West Montrose and great-grandfather of Shawn Bowman. Brother of Annie Gimbel, Emanuel (Sarah) Brubacher, Rueben (Anne) Brubacher and Katie Martin.Predeceased by his parents, Josiah and Annie Brubacher; one son, Peter (1971); three sisters and five brothers.For a number of years, Elam worked in the shoe repair business in Elmira, along with his brother, Urias.The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Monday, transfer will be made to Countryside Mennonite Fellowship, Hawkesville, for funeral service at 2 p.m., followed by interment in Hillside Cemetery.
