  Edward Schmitt Edward Schmitt, 53, of 419 Queen St. South, died Saturday at his home after suffering a heart attack. Born in Durlock, Germany, he was a son of Edward and the late Mrs. Schmitt. He operated a barbershop since 1935 and was member of St. Joseph's RC Church and the Holy Name Society. He was also officer of the parish credit union. Surviving are his father, in Germany; his wife, the former Eileen Kloepfer, whom he married in Marybill in 1936; six sons, Harold, Karl, Edward, Alfred, Paul and Bernard, all at home; one daughter, Angela, at home; one brother, Alfred, in Durlock; and two sisters, Mrs. Emilie Kling in Durlock and Mrs. Karl (Hedwig) Meier in Stuttgart, Germany, The body is at the Gruhn Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tonight. Prayers at the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday will be followed by requiem high mass at St. Joseph's Church at 9 o'clock. Burial will - be in Woodland Cemetery. Msgr. R. M. Haller will officiate.
