    • Mr. August Bauer passed away this morning after several months of suffering from cancer. The deceased is well known in Preston, having Tesiding her: practically all his life. He leaves to his loss his widow and several sons and daughters, all of whom have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement. The late Mr. Bauer was a devoted member of the Roman Catholic church and took an active part in church work. The funeral services will be held at the R.C. Church Saturday morning. Rev. Father Gehl, and interment will take place in the Preston R.C. cemetery.
