- Funeral services were held Monday for Leo Albert Runstedler, 74, of RR 1, St. Clements. He died suddenly at his home Friday night after a heart attack. Mr. Runstedler was born on the farm where he lived all his life. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Runstedler. He was a member of St. Clements RC church and an honorary member of the council of Catholic men. He was a veteran of the First world war, serving overseas with the 118th battalion. Surviving are his wife, the former Ethel Walton, whom he married in St. Agatha in 1922; four sons, Jack, Albert and Walter, all of Kitchener, and Gilbert of RR 1, St. Clements; four daughters, Mrs. Harry (Irene) Dietrich of RR 1, St. Clements, Mrs. Beverly (Mary) McCann of Toronto, Mrs. Ross (Rita) Lederman of Waterloo, and Mrs. Wallace (Barbara) DeWitt of Kentville, N.S., three brothers, Frank of Kitchener, Alf of Harvey's Lake, Pa., and Edward of Fayattville, N.Y., one sister, Mrs. George (Irene) Farawell of Zurich and 37 grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother. Rev. V.J. Pickett officiated at the services. Burial was in St. Clements RC cemetery.
