Death of Mrs. Stager
The following additional particulars of Mrs. Stager of New Dundee who died suddenly at German Mills will be read with interest:
The deceased was the youngest daughter of the late John Meyer, and was raised Guelph on the farm now occupied by her only brother, John Meyer, jr. She was a niece of the late Guggisberg brothers of Preston, and a cousin of Mr. David Meyer, well known in New Hamburg. She leaves a sorrowing husband, 4 children, one brother and several sisters, among whom are the widow of Mr. Henry Weicker, late of Berlin, who lived for many years in Zorra and was well known in New Hamburg, and Mrs. Zellner, of Tavistock. She was a strict adherent of the Lutheran church and a member at the time of her death. She had been an industrious and saving woman and did much to help her now mourning husband to gain the homestead they own near this place. The bereaved husband no doubt, very keenly feels the mother and a careful companion in life.
