Died At Kitchener on Thursday, August 14th, 1919 Jacob Shoemaker Aged 77 Years, 5 Months and 10 Days. The Funeral will be held from his late residence, 15 Roy Street, Kitchener, on Saturday, August 16th, 1919 at two o'clock, p.m. to the East End Mennonite Cemetery for interment. Friends and acquaintances will please accept this intimation.

WORTHY CITIZEN WAS CALLED
MR. JACOB SHOEMAKER DE- PARTED THIS LIFE
There crossed the Great Divide yesterday afternoon Mr. Jacob Shoemaker, 15 Roy street. His death followed an illness of three years duration brought on by the infirmities of advanced age.
In the death of Mr. Shoemaker another staunch citizen has gone and cause for sorrow among many friends has been occasioned.
Descended from the good old Pennsylvania stock which came to this county over one hundred years ago and which has been noted for its thrift and industry as well as its other emulative qualities he lived the life in keeping with this ancestry and he was worthy citizen like his fellow kinsmen.
The late Mr.Shoemaker was born in Bridgeport and was a son of the late Jacob S. Shoemaker and his wife. Elizabeth Snyder. His age was 77 years, 5 months and 10 days. The greater part of his life was spent in this community and during the last thirty years he had resided in this city. Quite a number of years ago he retired from the fruit dealers business in which he was engaged at the time. Since then he had lived retired.
His wife, Elizabeth Hall, predeceased him a number of years ago. Surviving him are ten children who are Mrs. H. E. Cutler of Calgary. Mrs. A. A. MeIntyre, Waterloo, Mrs. Arthur Boehmer, City, Mrs. W.O. Mitchell, City, Miss S.E. Shoenaker, Ottawa, J.E. Shoemaker, Montreal, Sheldon, Ottawa, R. H. Vancouver, J. L., Winnipeg and A. L. at home.
Two sisters also are left to mourn his loss they are Mrs. J. Clemens of Preston and Miss E. Shoemaker. City.
The funeral will be held at two o'clock Saturday afternoon from 15 Roy street to the East End Mennonite cemetery for interment.
