The death of Miss Henrietta M. Schummer, took place suddenly at Grace Hospital, Detroit, on Wednesday morning. She had gone to that city on a visit to her brother about a week ago, where she was taken seriously ill with an acute attack of appendicitis. She underwent an operation in the hospital on Sunday and in spite of the best medical attention and tender nursing, she passed away early Wednesday morning. The late Miss Schummer was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter F. Schummer of St. Clements. She was a trained nurse, having graduated from the St. Joseph's Hospital at London about six years ago. For the past few years she bad been nursing in the Twin City.

Besides her parents she is survived by four brothers and two sisters, namely, Frank, of Linwood; Matthew, of St. Clements; Joseph, of Detroit; Jack, of Makinak, Man., Miss Anna, of Ottawa, and Mrs. J. J. Doyle, New Hamburg.

The remains were brought to St. Clements on Wednesday evening and the funeral will be held on Saturday morning from the residence of her parents.
