  Joan Fraser It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Fraser at Kingston General Hospital on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 after a brief illness. Dear mother of Stuart Fraser and Daryl Leonard. Loving wife of the late Ronald Fraser (1983). Loving sister of Teresa Brown, Noreen Donovan, Dorothy McCann, Margaret (Neil) Crichton, Jeannie Skuce, Robert Traynor, Patricia (Glen) McNichols, John (Karen) Traynor. Predeceased by sister Rose Lloyd and brothers Michael, Frank, Jerry, Tommy, Leo and brothers-in-law Jim Fraser, Roy Skuce, Ralph McCann, Joseph Donovan and Jim Brown. Survived by sister-in-laws Gwen Traynor, Betsy Traynor, Christa Cote, Sandy (Mike) Connell and brother-in-law Doug Fraser. Daughter-in-law of Olive Fraser. Will be lovingly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Joan started her career as a RN and later chose to work with children with special needs. She retired 5 years ago from the Waterloo District Separate School Board after 25+ years. She loved her Kitchener Rangers and served as the 1st female director and was recently recognized as an honorary director for over 20 year's service with the Rangers. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Children's Wish Foundation. Friends will be received at Lyons Funeral Home, Westport, ON on Sunday, Nov 3rd from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral mass will be at St. Edwards Church, Westport on Monday at 12pm. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, Arlington Blvd, Kitchener, ON on Tuesday Nov 5th at 2pm. Immediately following a reception will be held at Rockway Golf Club, 625 Rockway Dr., Kitchener Joan Fraser - Tuesday, October 29th, 2013 (2023).
