      John and Michael Weber have operated a cider mill here for the past eighteen years and their services are very much in evidence with a large circle of farmers during the apple season when their respective larders need replenishing with those delicacies, known as apple butter, syrup and jelly. The Weber Bros. have the latest improved and best machinery for the purpose, which is capable of turning out two hundred gallons of cider per hour.

      To say that their work this season will reach sixty thousand gallons is not an over estimation, for frequently they have been compelled to work a part of the night. Their apparatus for making syrup is the only one of the kind in the township and is said to be the best now in use. Of the latter product they make a very superior article and it is much on this account that they have such a wide patronage. They work with considerable rapidity and unless an unusual number are ahead of him a farmer is not liable to have his patience taxed too long before he can return home with his two or three barrels of apple juice.
