  Katharina "Katie" Becker Friday, September 1st, 1939 - Sunday, March 28th, 2021 Becker, Katharina "Katie" (nee Mueller): Passed away peacefully, on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Freeport Hospital in Kitchener, at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late John Sr. (1996). Loving Mom to Gary (Donna) and John (Lea). Cherished Grandma to Nicole (Brent), Natalie (Tyler), Carlton, Emma and Adam and great Grandma to Rylie. Dear sister to Anna Kolaritsch and sister-in-law to Anna Zeiger. Fondly remembered by nieces, Diane (Kevin), Carole (Mike), Anne (Mark), Trudie (Steven). Predeceased by parents, Franz and Anna, niece, Brigitte, and nephew, Ludwig. Katie worked at Arrow Shirts for over 30 years. As a longtime member of the Schwaben Club, Katie loved spending time with friends and family at the club and enjoyed seeing her grandchildren participate in the club's dance groups. She was proud of her German-Yugoslavian heritage and her family will lovingly continue baking, cooking and other traditions passed on by her. She will be sincerely missed and in our hearts forever. On behalf of Katie and our family, we extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Bob Stevens and Katie's cancer care team at the Grand River Cancer Centre. Thank you also to the LHIN and Freeport for your palliative care support over the past few months. We are so grateful for your tremendous care, kindness and support. A private funeral liturgy will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Private interment at Woodland Cemetery.
