    • SCRATCH PROVES FATAL

      Berlin, Ont., June 27.-The death took place last evening at Bamberg of Thomas Hinschberger, a well-known blacksmith of that village, from blood-poisoning. About ten days ago he scratched his hand while opening a jar of cucumbers, which which resulted in a violent form of blood-poisoning, to which he succumbed. He was in his 35th year, and is survived by his wife and four small children.

      Death Follows Accident

      The death took place at Bamberg on Thursday evening of Thomas Hinschberger, a well-known resident of that village. About 10 days ago he accidentally scratched his hand while opening a glass jar of cucumbers and after a few days blood poisoning of the most violent kind set in, causing his death. He was in his 35th year and was a blacksmith by trade. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Hinschberger, of St. Clements. He is survived by a widow and four small children. He was exceedingly popular in the vicinity of Bamberg and his untimely death is greatly regretted.

      The funeral was held this morning at 10 o'clock from Bamberg to the St. Agatha R.C. Church and Cemetery.
