    • HAIG, Marcus "Mark" Allan Peacefully at his residence on Thursday, August 19, 2010, Mr. Marcus "Mark" Allan Haig of Clinton and formerly of Waterloo, in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Mary (Proper) Haig and the late Helen (Humphrey) Haig (1978). Loving father and father-in-law of Margo Schimus of Baden, Rob and Diane Proper of Vanastra, Donald Proper of Cambridge and Marianne Wainman of Waterloo. Also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Dorothy Haig of Kitchener. Predeceased by infant son Tommy Haig, son-in-law Gunther Schimus and by 2 brothers Glen and Elwood Haig. Friends will be received at the Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd. - Clinton Chapel , 153 High Street, Clinton on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, August 23, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Leslie Searles will officiate. A family graveside service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo on Tuesday, August 24th. Memorial donations to the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation, Clinton United Church or to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
