HESSON, Jan. 30. The funeral of Joseph Stemmler who died at his home near this village on Sunday will be held Wednesday morning at ten o'clock at St. Mary's R.C. church with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
The late Mr. Stemmler was in his 75th year and had been in declining health for a year. Two years ago he and Mrs. Stemmler celebrated their golden wedding. He was a son of pioneer settlers of the district and was born on the home stead where he died.
He is survived by his wife, formerly Magdalene Gatschene of Waterloo, ten sons and two daughters, George of Toronto; Edward of Hesson, Eugene of Dorking. John of Teeswater, Herbert of Fernbank, Seraphine of Kitchener, Albert of Dorking. Dorking. Simon of Hesson, Aaron of Lebanon, Anthony of Linwood, Miss Cecilia at home and Mrs. Alex. J. Schnarr of Waterloo. One sister, Mrs. R. Graff of Hesson and one brother, Michael Stemmler of Linwood also survive along with 47 grandchildren.
