    • Nicholas Ostaszewski, 59, of 112 Victoria St. South died at his home today. He was a native of the western Ukraine and came to Canada in 1925. He was employed by Burns and Company . (Eastern), Ltd., for the past 30 years.

      Mr. Ostaszewskt was a charter member of the Church of the Transfiguration, the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Kitchener he had been cantor for the past 25 years.

      Surviving are his wife, the former Dora Pencak, whom he married in 1926; one son, Staff Sgt. Nicholas H. Ostaszewski, stationed at Wright Patterson air base, Dayton, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Bokryna Kwasny of Toronto.

      The body is at the Gruhn Funeral Home where prayers will be said Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by mass at the Church of the Transfiguration at 9:30 a.m. will be in Woodland Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Basil Humeniuk.
