  SOMMER, Cecilla - Passed away peacefully, in the arms of our Lord. on Friday, March 17, 1995, at K-W Hospital, after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer. Cecilia (nee Trajano), was born in Malalos, Philippines 54 years ago. She received her Bachelor of Nursing degree in 1962 from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. With loving memory Cecilla is survived by her husband, Kurt and her daughter, Patricia (Tricia) at home. Also survived by her mother, Pacita; brothers, Danny, Edward, Rico and Ceasar. Predeceased by her father, Cipriano; her brother, Ding and her sister-in-law, Lita Trajano, all of the Philippines. Cecilia and Kurt would have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on March 21. Cecilia was a faithful member of St. Anthony Daniel RC Church where she volunteered her time at Sunnyside Home on Thursday for morning mass. Her strong faith gave strength to her during her prolonged illness until called by our Lord. The Sommer family will receive friends at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at which time parish prayers will be recited 8:30 p.m. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Tuesday 10:30 a.m. followed by the funeral mass at St. Anthony Daniel RC Church, 11 o'clock a.m. with Father Edward House officiating.
