- SEHL, Norma A. - After a long goodbye, a very gracious, sweet lady has gone Home. It is with great sadness and love that we announce the passing of our dear Mother and Grandmother, Norma Ann Sehl, at Leisureworld Caregiving Centre, Elmira, on Friday, March 22, 2002. Born October 21, 1912 in Phelpston, Ontario, Norma was the devoted wife and soulmate of Dr. Willard A. Sehl (1995). Precious mother of Father Terence Sehl of Kitchener, Eleanor and her husband Robert Buchanan of Kitchener, Margaret A. Sehl of Cambridge and Thomas J. Sehl and his wife Therese of Winterbourne; very special grandmother of David and Heather, Joel and Daniel, Rachel, Peter, Hana, Bethany and Jonathan. She was a Clinical Nutritionist and graduate of the University of Toronto, a charter and life member of the Canadian Dietetic Association, a member of the Catholic Womens League and the Carmel of St. Joseph Guild. She was the last member of her family, predeceased by her parents, Philip A. Coughlin and Catherine Shanahan Coughlin and her sisters, Catherine Martin, Ella Coughlin and Albertine Coughlin. Arrangements entrusted to Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, where friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The rosary will be recited at 8:45 p.m. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, 173 Lourdes St., Waterloo on Monday at 10:30 a.m., with Father Terry Sehl officiating. Interment will be held at Woodland Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Hall for refreshments and a time to visit with the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Marian Residence, Cambridge, St. Mary's Hospital, Palliative Care or the Carmel of St. Joseph. Norma's family would like to sincerely thank the Leisureworld "family", especially those on "Robin's Grove", all who combined sensitivity and caring with competent, loving, professionalism. You now live in the land of Glory, amidst the blue and gold of the skies, you now sleep in the Lord's beautiful garden, in the sunset of perfect peace. You have filled your place with respect, honour and untiring example. Your death is not the extinguishing of your Light...it is the turning out of the lamp because your Dawn has come...You are now in the place where God wants you to be. Welcome home!
