  Leah Bergey, " was born January 28th, 1824. " Leah Bergey, "the youngest daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Wagoner) Bergey, was born January 28th, 1824. On December 4th, 1849, she was married to Benjamin Shuh, who was born November 15th, 1815, and died January 21st, 1892. They resided a mile east of Berlin where the widow still resides with her family. Their family consisted of three children". Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character. Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. ______________________ On the 15th of July, 1899, near Berlin, Waterloo county, Ont., Sister Leah Shuh, wife of the late Benjamin Shuh, in her 76th year. She leaves two sons and one daughter, all living on the old homestead, David working the farm. She was a sufferer for over five years and was "patient in affliction" without murmuring. She died of dropsy. Her life was given to the Saviour many years ago, and she has ever since been a sister in the Mennonite Church. It was the pleasure of the writer to visit her, and in our conversation she expressed her desire to be at rest. She was buried in the C. Eby cemetery, Berlin. Services were hold by Bro.
