  BENNETT, Jean (nee Boone) - It is with sadness that the family of Jean Bennett announces her peaceful passing, at St. Luke's Place in Cambridge, on January 25, 2009, at the age of 77. Jean is survived by her son, Victor Young of Kitchener; daughter, Lisa Harlock and her husband Dennis of Cambridge; daughter-in-law, Rita Brandridge and her husband Lawrence of Victoria Harbour; step-daughter Marie Bennett (Chris Baulk) of London; and sister-in-law, Sheila St. Amour of Waterloo. She also leaves behind her adored granddaughters, Debbie McQuain, Paula Crowder, Vicki McPherson, Brynn and Cassidy Harlock; great-grandchildren, Terra, Ryan, Cody, Brittany, Amber, Paige and Cole. Jean will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews, locally and in Newfoundland and England; lifelong friends, Doris Hayne, Dory Hunzinger and Myrt Hallman. Predeceased by her love, Con Bennett who passed away in 1992; children in infancy, Linda and David Young; brothers, Ern (Alma), Victor, Max (Edna) and Donald (Rita); daughter-in-law, Gail Young; dear friends, Colleen Grischow and Dody Brown. Cremation has taken place. Jean's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, January 27th from 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 from 10 a.m. until the time of her funeral service to celebrate her life in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Reception immediately following.
