  BIUK, Ivan - passed away peacefully, Friday, July 23, 2004 at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, after a brief illness. Ivan Biuk, 65 years of age, was the dear father Diana Biuk and her husband Alan Waterfield of Kitchener. Survived also by Diana's mother, Katica Krecak of Waterloo. Dear brother of Jure, Ana, Jeka, Mare and their families, all of Croatia. Dear uncle of Bozo Batovanja and Ivica Batovanja and their families of Kitchener and Neda Knezevic and her family of Oakville. Ivan will also be sadly missed by his good friends, Josip and Ana Kupres and Maria Zaborski and her family. Predeceased by his son, Nicholas Biuk (1996) and parents, Nikola and Boja Biuk. Ivan came to Canada in 1966 and was the owner of Ivan Biuk Construction Ltd. He was a builder of fine quality homes in Kitchener for over 35 years. He will also be greatly missed by many friends in the community and construction industry. Ivan's family will receive relatives and friends from Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 749-8467. Parish prayers will be offered at 8 p.m. Sunday evening. Prayers will be offered in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. on Monday, July 26, 2004 followed by procession to Holy Family Croatian Church (180 Schweitzer St.. Kitchener) for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Father Miro Grubisic officiating. Interment Woodland cemetery. Everyone is most welcome to attend a reception in Ivan's memory at the Holy Family Croatian Church Hall following the interment. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Grand River Hospital Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would, be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home.
