  George Fields, age 7, son of J. Fields, distiller, Conestoga, attempted, a few days ago, to jump across a vat, which was full of boiling slop pumped from the distillery. he fell into the vat, and although his companions pulled him out as quickly as possible, he only lingered for four days before death came to his relief.
