  COWEN, HARRY MORRIS was a son of Jr. Young Cowen, probably the one who was born at Exeter on January 31, 1862. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1890, and subsequently extended his medical education. He practised in Galt with his father 1900 to 1902, and next was listed in Chicago. He served in the Medical Corps of the Imperial Army, and because of health problems became a ship's surgeon. He served on ships running to the Orient, and spent some time in New Zealand and Tonga.
