  GRANT, FREDERICK EVANS was first mentioned in the Conestogo news of the Waterloo County Chronicle October 5, 1893: Dr. Wells has gone to his mother's in Aurora for a few days. His practice is in charge of Dr. Grant, A further report appeared in the issue of November 2nd, Dr. Grant, successor to Dr. Wells is making promise of being a good practitioner. He nas already treated several typhoid fever cases with speedy success, our opinion is that he is worthy of the confidence of the community. Early in 1894 there are two references to him, and in November 18. 1896 the following item appeared. The friends of Mr. T. -. Grant M. D., formerly of Conestogo, will be surprised to learn that this talented young pnysician has located in Athens, Colhoun Co., Michigan where he will practise his profession in future. We wish him every success. The Kalamazoo Gazette Saturday January 14, 1961 provides further information! He was born in London England December 30, 1866, graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School in 1893, and took postgraduate work in Vienna and London. He moved to Kalamazoo in 1908 and practised there until his retirement in 1944. He died aged 92 on January 13, 1961, Dr. Alexander D. Campbell, Doctors in Waterloo County 1852-1925 ____________ Dr. Frederick Grant Dies in Kalamazoo at 93 KALAMAZOO (UPI)-Dr. Frederick D. Grant, the city of Kala- mazoo's oldest living physician died Friday. He had been a physician in Kalamazoo since 1914 Earlier he had practiced at Athens. Mich He was 93 at the time of his death.
