  MACDONALD, WILLIAM The Galt Reporter of September 5, 1862 carried this notice: Dr. MacDonald, of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Edinburgh, Begs to intimate that he has commenced the practice of his Profession in Galt and Vicinity. Two further notices appeared: On October 3rd. - Residence West Main Street in the House lately occupied by Mr. Baikie. On October 24 - Diseases of the EYE attended to. With so little information it has not been possible to identify this man. The only other reference was regarding a William McDonald of Kemble, formerly Galt.
