- MONTGOMERY, ROBERT RUSSELL was born in Wroxeter, Ontario, and was a graduate of the University of Toronto Medical School in 1910,
He first practised at Fordwich, Ont. before moving to Elmira. The Daily Telegraph July 20, 1915, announced his arrival:
Dr, R. R. Montgomery, formerly of Wroxeter, has bought the practice of Dr, S. L. Alexander. His family will move to town shortly.
He practised at Elmira until May, 1918, when he went to New York and took a postgraduate course at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.
In 1920 he moved to Long Beach, California, practising in the specialty of Ear. Nose and Throat. He became a member of the American Board of Oto-Laryngology, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and the American College of Allergists.
He died on May 2, 1953, aged 68, and was survived by his wife three sons and one daughter.

Death Takes Montgomery, L. B. Surgeon
A practicing physician in Long Beach for the last 33 years, Dr. Robert R. Montgomery, 68, died Saturday in his home at 3670 E. First St.
He was a member of the staffs of St. Mary's, Seaside and Community Hospitals and was listed as a charter member of the Long Beach Exchange Club.
Born in Wroxeter, Ontario, Dr. Montgomery graduated from the medical school of Toronto University. Before coming to Long Beach, he practiced medicine in Canada and in New York City.
He was a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Fellow of the American College of Allergists, and belonged to the Honorary Ear, Nose and Throat Society, Americans Trilogical Society, California Medical Society and the Los Angeles County Medical Asssociation.
Service will be in Mottell's chapel a 2 p. m. Tuesday with Rev. F. C. Benson Belliss officiating. Entombment will be in Sunnyside Mausoleum.
Dr. Montgomery is survived by his wife, Beatrice M.; three sons. Dion M., Jan C. and Roger R., and a daughter, Mrs. Aileen M. Williams.

Correspondence from Long Beach, California
Dr.. R. R. Montgomery who had been a former physician in Elmira, came out here only a few years ago, practiced with Dr. Rogers, and at the same time took a special course in ear, nose and throat, which exam be successfuly passed. He now has an office in the Markell Bldg. Dr. Montgomery, with his family, live at 812 Rose Avenue.

Dr. Montgomery has sold his practice and his beautiful residence to Watson of Havelock, who expects to take possession this week. Dr. Montgomery will take a special course at New York.
The many friends of the Dr. and his family deeply regret their removal from Elmira.

Serious Accident.
A serious accident occurred to Mr. Adolphe Werle on Thursday morning while working in the hay loft of the stables belonging to the
Ontario House. Owing to a misstep he fell through an opening to the main floor. He was carried into the hotel in an unconscious state and
Dr. Montgomery was immediately called. It was discovered that his shoulder was badly crushed. He was taken to the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital on the afternoon train.
