NEW HAMBURG, Jan. 13. Following an illness of three years, Edwin Ruppert, well-known North Easthope farmer, died at his home Sunday morning at the age of 68 years. He was the youngest son of the late John Ruppert and Catherine Schweitzer and was born on the farm on which he died on Oct. 24. 1878. His wife is the former Edna Riehl of Lisbon.
Besides his wife, two brothers and three sisters survive: William of Cordette, Sask., John of Bowvell, N.D., Mrs. William (Kate), Pines, New Hamburg. Mrs. C. (Marion) Roeder and Mrs. John (Carrie) Knechtel, both of North Easthope. Two brothers and one sister predeceased him.
A private funeral service will be held from the farm home in North Easthope on Wednesday at 1:45 p.m. with a public service at the New Hamburg Evangelical Church of which the deceased was a mem- ber at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Clayton Becker will officiate. Burial will be made in Linglebach's Evangelical Cemetery. The remains will rest at the residence after 8 p.m. Monday until the funeral.
