  SAVAGE, WILLIAM FIRTH was a graduate of Victoria University in 1866. On January 5, 1867 his card was in the Elora Observer, but in that same year a directory lists his address as Winterbourne. All evidence indicates that he remained in Elora, and there is nothing further to show that he practised in Waterloo County. In 1893 he moved to Guelph, and after practising for over 50 years, he died on August 2, 1923. Dr. Alexander D. Campbell, Doctors in Waterloo County 1852-1925, 1986 ___________ Word has been received from Vancouver of the death at the home of his daughter there, of Dr. William F. Savage, one of the most prominent physicians of Guelph. The Expositor Fri, Aug 03, 1923 Page 11 _______________ Prominent Ontario Man Dies in Vancouver Dr. William Frith Savage of Guelph, Ont.. died today at the residence of his daughter. Mrs. Donald Cramer, 4051 Cypress street. Dr. Savage was in his seventy-eighth year, and was one of the most prominent and respected citizens of the Ontario town. A funeral service will be held at Mrs. Cramer's residence at 2 p.m. on Friday, but the interment will take place at Guelph. Friends are requested to omit flowers.
