- TURNER, HENRY was a Licentiate of the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland, 1852, a licentiate of the Dublin Lying-In Hospital, and a graduate of St. Andrews University, 1853.
His card was in the Dumfries Reformer from January 12 to June 6, 1855:
H. Turner M. D. Of the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, Licentiate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, begs to inform the Public that he has commenced the practice of his profession in Galt and will at all times be happy to attend to calls.
In 1859 he received his M. D. degree from the University of Toronto. He was in Millbrook, Durham County in 1870, and later was in Gleichen, Alberta.
The University of Toronto Monthly of May 1922 announced his death. Deaths - At Victoria, B. C. on March 6, Lieut. Col. Henry Turner M. D. (ad eund) '57, in his 95th year. He was a surgeon in the Prince of Wales Dragoons for many years, and was a former resident of Millbrook, Ont.

WELL KNOWN SURGEON SUCCUMBS TO OLD AGE
VICTORIA, B. C., March 6. - The death occurred Sunday at the family residence, 1126 Richardson Street, of Doctor Henry Turner, aged 94. Deceased was a native of Cork, Ireland, and came to Canada in 1852, settling at Millbrook, Ont. He served with the Prince of Wales Dragoons 88 surgeon, retiring with the rank of lieutenant-colonel.
Doctor Turner came to Victoria 22 years ago. He is survived by two sons and two daughters, Dr. Henry A. Turner of Millbrook, Ont.; William Archibald Turner of Oak Bay: Miss Alice Turner, Victoria, B. C., and Mrs. W. F. Salsbury.
