Fernandes, Lorraine Ruth (nee Polzin)

Passed away unexpectedly on Saturday June 20, 2009 at Grand River Regional Hospital at the age of 74.
Beloved wife of Elson Fernandes for 54 years. Loving mother of Susan Fernandes, Lynda Dechert ( Doug), Marita Kochis ( Dan Ried), Dave Fernandes ( Angela), Loralee Fernandes, Liz Montag ( Ken) and Elsa
Fernandes. Grandmother of Rebecca, Butch, Kase, Jonathon, Jessica, Evie, Jeremy, Josh, Cody, Brent, Megan, Brodi, Elliot, Connor, Janka, and Max. Great grandmother of Lily, Clara, Leah, Samaya, and Kesler. Lorraine, a retired Bell Operator of 35 years, spent her time gardening, knitting, making sock Monkeys, and baby blankets for all her children, grand children, and great grandchildren. She was passionate about "Family" History and produced a genealogy record of the Huber, Polzin, and Fernandes families, that will remain a living legacy. She will be always loved and forever missed. At Lorraines request cremation has taken place and a private family funeral service has occurred. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
