      1943-2008
      Robert passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at the age of 65. Loving husband of Lynda (nee Ryan) and loving father of Barry of Kitchener and Melanie and her husband Thomas McKain of Napanee. Mr. Kahl worked in the educational resources industry for many years. In 1976, he started Mind Resources Inc. from which he retired in 1999. His love for RV'ing, nature, and music made it possible for him to enjoy life to the fullest. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Kitchener where he was a member of the choir and the Faith Phillies ball team. Brother of Victoria Elliott of Orangeville, Garnet and his wife Beverly of Bracebridge, Doris and her husband Lorne Lantz of Mildmay, Norma Sullivan, John and his wife Elaine, Madeline Kahl of Kitchener, Muriel and her husband Gordon Lyons, Florence and her husband Frank Hall, all of Waterloo, and Franklin of Elmira. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and other relatives. Predeceased by his parents, Edward John Kahl and the former, Valera Fisher and brother, Edward Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Robert during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, September 6, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 247 Westmount Rd. E., Kitchener on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 3 p. with Rev. Warren Hamp officiating. A reception will follow at the church. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Lutheran World Relief Fund or Faith Lutheran Church Building Fund by contacting the funeral home at 519-745-8445 or www.erbgood.com . In living memory of Robert, a donation will be made to the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
