Clayton "Bruce" Cressman went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at the age of 86 years.

Predeceased by his loving wife, Joyce (Janz), of 48 years, he is survived by his caring wife, Nancy (Benson/Taylor), who has been a blessed companion for 13 years. He will be greatly missed by daughters, Cheryl Boyes and Rhonda (Jan) Beckner, grandchildren, Laura (Jason), Michelle (Mark), Christopher (Sarah), and Emily (Dan), and great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Jonathan and Nathaniel.

He will be lovingly remembered by his two sisters, Joy (Coleman) of Winnipeg, and Anne (Sherk) of Waterloo, sister-in-law, Laverna (Aldo) Marchese and brother-in-law, Garry (Linda) Janz, 18 nieces and nephews, and was predeceased by sister, Joan (Collier/Hathaway), and nephews, Neal Janz and David Collier. He will be remembered fondly by Nancy's daughters, Laurie and Cheryl, three granddaughters, brothers and sisters-in-law.

Bruce was born in Kitchener on May 5th, 1934, and was a gentle-spirited man who quietly provided encouragement to others and helped out those in need. He was raised in a family active in the world of missions and so developed that same heart, exemplified in his everyday interactions of his work, neighbourhood and church life. He was an active member of Bethany Evangelical Missionary Church and took on roles of Deacon, leader in Boys' Brigade, choir member, teacher, the Shepherding Ministry, and helped in church-planting. Bruce's own in-depth study of the Scriptures enabled him to disciple new Christians in small groups, and as father, was a strong spiritual leader in the home, bringing to discussion sermons and theology to help his family grow in the faith.

Bruce began his employment at Marsland Engineering as a draftsman, working in electronics. He then moved into Purchasing/Materials Management for GSW, the mobile home industry and Frink Sno-Plows, so his experience was vast.

For many years, Bruce, Joyce and family enjoyed camping throughout Canada and the U.S., ensuring to park the trailer at Stayner Campgrounds every Summer where, amongst the peaceful pine trees, the Bible teaching and fellowship of other believers restored his soul. He was so fortunate to be able to enjoy that fellowship, once again, with Nancy at their trailer in recent years.

Bruce's family will receive relatives and friends from 2 - 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 7th, 2021 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener. Private service and interment to be held. Those wishing to attend Bruce's visitation must RSVP through the funeral home website or by calling 519-749-8467. Face masks are mandatory. Bruce's service may be viewed via live stream at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2021 at https://www.henrywalser.com/live-streaming

In honour of Bruce's love of Stayner Camp, in lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated for the ongoing Camp ministries.
