Son of Mrs. Louise Bauer of Edmonton, Alta. and the late William Bauer: also surviving is his wife, Murina and his son, William, both of Edmonton, Alta. He attended Waterloo Lutheran (Wilfrid Laurier) University, did graduate studies at University of Toronto and received his doctorate from the University of Chicago. Dr. Bauer was a professor of economics at the University of Alberta. Resting at the Hainstock & Son Funeral Home.
