- WILLIAM WALTER MARTINSON
A heart attack resulted Thursday in the death of William Walter Martinson, 85 Arthur St., Elmira. Born in Hawkesville, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Martinson, deceased was employed as a real estate dealer and justice of the peace in Elmira. Mr. Martinson served two terms on the Town Council and was a member of the high school board and of the Horticultural Society in Elmira for several years. He was serving on the garden committee at the time of his death.
Surviving are his wife, nee Ida Goetz of. Linwood; two daughters, Ella of Toronto and Mrs. V. C. (Mary) Pierce, Elmira; two brothers, J. F. Martinson of Wallenstein and Roy Martinson of Port Colborne. One son died in infancy and a grandchild died a month ago.
The funeral service was held on Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Chapel with burial in Hawkesville cemetery. Rev. E. N. Mohr, pastor of Zion Evangelical Church officiated.
