    • FUNERAL OF MRS. SAEMAN HELD FRIDAY

      The funeral of Mrs John Saemann, who died Wednesday at her home in the town of Scott, was held Friday afternoon at the Zion's Evangelical church at Batavia. Rev. Mr Bernd officating. Burial was made in the cemetery northeast of the village.

      Mrs Saemann, whose maiden name was Mary Rahskopf was the wife ot John Saemann, one of the earliest pioneers of the town of Scott, and the mother of Noah Saemann, well known business man of Adell.

      She was born in Canada about eighty years ago, and was married to Mr Saemann in 1856. To them were born eight children of whom six survive as follows: N. Saemann of Adell. Mrs. Darryl ? Scott: John Saemaan, Milwaukee, Mrs W. Pfeifer, Sheyboygan Falls: E. H Sae mann and Mrs. Oteha Row, both of Scott. A daughter Miss Emma, passed away at the age of twenty, and a son, Willam, died in infancy. Mrs Saemann also leaves two brothers. Louis Rahskopt of Aberdeen, South Dakota, and Joseph of Lawrence, Kansas .
      Besides these, seventeen grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive.
