- Mrs. Michael Kerchner
ST. JACOBS, Nov. 15. - Mrs. Lydiann Kerchner, wife of Michael Kerchner, of St. Jacobs died yesterday afternoon after a short illness at St. Mary's Hospital, at the age of 58 years. A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Sittler of Wellesley Township, she was born in Wellesley Township March 14, 1890. She was married Jan 5, 1916 at St. Jacobs, resided near Bamberg, then moved to St. Jacobs in 1919. Surviving are her husband, one son, Wellington Lloyd of St. Jacobs and a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Virginia) Brooks of near Huntsville, one grandchild, two brothers, Josiah and Noah of Hawkesville and one sister, Mrs. Isaiah Gregory of Yatton. Mrs. Kerchner was a faithful member of the Evangelical United Brethern[sic] church and an active member of the Ladies Aid Society and W.S.W.S. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 o'clock with a private service at the home, thence to St. Jacobs Evangelical United Brethern[sic] Church for public service. Burial will be in the Evangelical Cemetery at Heidelberg. Rev. A.E. Pletch will officiate. The body will rest at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor until Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock when removal will be made to the residence.
