- Mrs. Margaret Maag-Obituary.
Margaret. Schmidt was born in Holten county, Canada, February 25, 1834 and died January 5, 1913. She was Baptized into the German Lutheran church, April 20, 1834, and was married to Casper Maag, March 21, 1855. Of this union eleven children were born. Her husband and six of her children prevented her to the Better Land. The funeral was conducted from the old Baptist church on Hackberry by Rev. A. R. Hunt and interment in the cemetery near the church.
