  Laura V. Smith Succumbs at 74 Mrs. Laura Viola Smith of 486 Aurelius road, Mason, died Thursday, November 17 in Mason General hospital after a long illness, She was 74 years old. Mrs. Smith was a native of Preston, Ontario, Canaria. Her husband, Hugh, preceded her in death. She is survived by 2 brothers, George Halberstandt of Detroit, Halberstandt of Detroit and Fred H. Halberstandt of Fruitland, Ontario, Canada. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 19, from the Ball Dunn funeral home, Mason. Rev. Charles F. Brooks officiated. Burial was in Maplegrove cemetery, Mason, Serving as pallbearers were Paul C. Rowe, Casper R. Lott, Harold Spink, George A.
