  SAMUEL F. HOLTZHAUER PRESTON, Oct. 12 - A well-known Preston resident for the past 49 years, Samuel Frederick Holtzhauer died at the K-W Hospital at 8 o'clock this morning. In his 85th year, Mr. Holtzhauer had been ailing for some years and had been seriously ill for the past six weeks. Born in Mildmay, Ontario, he was a moulder by trade. He learned his trade at the Shantz Foundry and was employed there and at Clare Brothers, for some years, while for the past 19 years he was engaged on the board of works of the corporation. A member of St. Paul's United Church he was also a member of the Canadian Order of Foresters. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Harris, Toronto; four sisters, Mrs. G. Pelz, Preston; Mrs. Willoughby, Hamilton; Mrs. Irwin, of Auburn, Mrs. L. Schaus, of Clifford; three brothers, Moses and Eli Holtzhauer, of Blythe and Charles Holtzhauer in Western Canada. Three grandchildren also survive. The remains are resting at the Stager-Pass Ltd., Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held on Thursday at 2: 30. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
